This policy explains what personal information MSVTech collects through msvtech.co.za, why we collect it and how we handle it. MSVTech is the technology subsidiary of Multi Sector Ventures, based in Johannesburg, South Africa, with satellite offices in Harare, Zimbabwe. We work mainly in South Africa and Zimbabwe and serve clients across Southern Africa, so this policy is written with the data protection laws of both countries in mind.
Information we collect
Contact form: when you send us an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, optional website link and your message.
Newsletter sign-up: when you subscribe to product updates, we collect your email address.
Analytics: we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site. These tools collect technical and usage data such as your device, browser, approximate location, the pages you view and how you interact with them, and they may use cookies or similar technologies.
How we use it
We use your details to respond to enquiries, send the product updates you asked for, keep the site secure and improve its content and performance. We do not sell your personal information.
Where your information is processed
MSVTech is based in South Africa and has satellite offices in Harare, Zimbabwe, so information you send us may be received and handled in either country. Our service providers may process it on servers in other countries. When we use them, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information stays protected, including when it moves between South Africa, Zimbabwe and other countries.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site and communicate with you, and only as needed for that purpose. This includes Resend, which delivers the emails sent from our forms; Netlify, which hosts the site; and Google and Microsoft, which provide the analytics tools above. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and newsletter details only for as long as we need them for the purposes above, or as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act, you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our processing of it and unsubscribe from our emails at any time. You may also complain to the regulator in your country if you believe your information has been mishandled: the Information Regulator in South Africa, or the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ).
If you contact us from another Southern African country, we will respect the rights your own data protection law gives you wherever we reasonably can.
Cookies and analytics choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use the opt-out tools Google and Microsoft provide for their analytics. Some parts of the site may work differently if you do.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
